Additional Assessment Component Brief 2027
Coursework must be completed in full and strict compliance with the procedures and conditions outlined in this coursework brief and in the State Examinations Commission (SEC) Coursework Rules and Procedures.

The coursework must be carried out and submitted to the class teacher by 26th February 2027 for 6th Years. and will then be submitted to the SEC. It is important that all official SEC documents are read thoroughly. ​
Note: Students must complete their AAC individually. Each student should develop and carry out their own investigation, collect and use their own primary data, and produce their own individual report. Primary data should not be taken from peers or from shared “class sets” of results.
Investigations should reflect the individual student’s own research, planning, experimental work, data collection, analysis and conclusions. Nothing provided on this website gives students sample projects, suggested project titles, sample research questions or ready-made investigations to copy or adapt. Any AAC resources available here are designed to provide guidance only on the investigation process, scientific skills, report structure and official requirements, while students develop their own unique and individual investigation.
